Gregg Goodhart
The Learning Coach

The way the brain learns best is very different from the way most people do it. The few that figure out how it works seem talented and gifted, but anyone can do it to get as good as they’d like at just about anything including academics, athletics and the arts.

I’m Writing a Book!

After years of being requested to document all the scientific accelerated learning principles to any and all learning in life, I’ve finally given in to peer pressure. I’m writing now and am eager to fulfill your enthusiastic requests.

Want to get exclusive sneak previews before it’s available?

Let me know below and you’ll be first to get your hands on the (as yet unpublished) material.

Thanks!

GREGG GOODHART

THE LEARNING COACH

I have been teaching for over three decades and have spent much of that time trying to figure out how to do it better.

For 13 years I chaired and developed a department at one of the most prestigious high schools in the country. In my quest to get the best information for myself and my teachers found answers in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience and psychology.

I began applying these principles, just a few at first, in the classroom and was able to get significant results. Over years I refined these techniques. Getting rid of some, revisiting others and spending my time figuring out how to best get students to genuinely learn the curriculum.

Along the way I found the elements necessary for doing this which included the path to develop a love for genuine learning, and not just passing tests. I also found that tests became easy to pass when genuine higher learning was occurring.

To my surprise I found that these principles applied to all learning. I began to hold meetings with my colleagues and coached teachers in the arts, sciences, maths, languages, history as well as our sports coaches.

I was encouraged by colleagues to share these things, which are available to all through many sources of research, with a greater community and so began my clinician/consultancy career.

I love sharing this with others and helping develop educational interventions. I love creating lightbulb moments in teachers and students.

” Thank you so much for your wonderful visit to IU. It has made a big impact on my students and teaching. All of them walked away with new ideas and motivation to work hard, which is invaluable. Many of the college students who attended on Friday have remarked to me about how much they enjoyed the presentation and how much they learned. The people I admire most at IU. . .have each mentioned to me that they loved your talk and are using your ideas. You are a dynamic conduit between research and practice, and that is a vital link. “

” You have provided one of the most beneficial presentations to my teachers I think they have attended since I began working with the school. It’s not often when you meet someone who understands and works to apply time maximization and utilization properly to achieve positive results. “

” Hi Gregg, I have told countless people about the things that I learned -or heard with new ears – at your ASTA presentation in Louisville last March. You were amazing! I couldn’t agree with you more! I would like to find the notes for My Dog Ate My Talent, because I did not get the handout at the convention (you were THAT popular). “
